`Super Marmaye’ a comedy entertainer by stunt master Ram Shetty

Mangaluru: Tulu film industry is growing fast with many movies hitting the screen and many more in the pipeline. Many regional and state level artists, technicians have been introduced to Tulu film industry in recent days. Ram Shetty a famous name in Sandalwood and Bollywood has worked in more than 700 movies as stunt master. His previous offering `Bangarda Kural’ a family drama was a super hit. Ram Shetty himself had penned the story and had directed the film. The latest one from him making the rounds is `Super Marmaye’ a comedy plus family drama.

As the name tells itself the movie is a total entertainer which will have only seven to eight characters. Marmaye means son in law in Tulu. How an auto driver marries a rich girl and manages to convince her parents is the one line story of the movie. Ram Shetty has written the story and is directing the film too. Speaking to seeandsay during a break from shooting which is going on in Malady here Ram Shetty shared his experience of movie making.

`Super Marmaye’ is been produced by Adyar Madhav Naik. The film is laughing riot with some serious drama. Gopinath Bhat who has proved his acting skills in negative roles in Sandalwood movie `Veera Madakari’ and Kannada sop `KrishnaRukmini’ will add life to in law’s character.  Raghavendra Rai who shot to fame with his comic gestures in `Pancharangi pom pom’ serial will become a full time hero with this movie. Divyashri of `Chalipolilu’ fame will be the heroine and Shradha Salian of Manipal presently living in Mumbai will play the second lead.

Eugen who has worked as a cinematographer in many Bollywood movies has worked a cameraman for Super Marmaye. Shashirak Kavoor has penned the lyrics and music is by Chandrakanth Shetty. The dialogues are written by Navin Shetty. 

No fightings in the movie:
When asked about the stunts in the movie. Ram Shetty who himself is a stunt master replied with a smiling face, I have added stunt scenes in `Bangarda Kural’ and this is the second movie of mine and I just want to make it a comedy entertainer. Sorry there is no stunt in this movie but other than that the film will have everything to tickle your funny bones. 

Shooting for two songs completed:
The two songs of Super Marmaye have been shot in Sakaleshpur. The other songs are yet to be picturised. The film will be shot in single schedule of thirty days said Ram Shetty.

Ram Shetty’s `Badkere Budle’ was considered as one of the milestone movies of Tulu film industry. The film was released in 1982 and created many records. Another super hit offering from him came as `Dareda Bodedi’ in 1983. These movies are considered as the classics of Tulu cinema. With loads of experience of Ram Shetty and good star cast and technical team `Super Marmaye’ is also considered as the sure shot hit by movie pundits.
