Madhya Pradesh: Woman thrown off running train after alleged rape attempt

New Delhi: In yet another shocking incident of crime against women in Madhya Pradesh a young woman was thrown off a train after an alleged rape attempt. The victim who is a professional from Delhi was thrown off a train in Madhya Pradesh near Sagar.

The girl was found unconcious on the railway tracks on Thursday morning. The girl's family says she was sexually harassed by two men, robbed and thrown off the train. The victim sustained fatal injuries on her face and other parts of her body.

The victim's mother said, "We went to inquire what happened as soon as we heard about the incident. The enquiry desk gave us the number of a hospital. We called on that number several times but we got no response. We don't know her situation yet".

The victim's brother reported later that he came to know about the incident only when he heard some people talking about a girl who had been attacked. Unable to spot his sister coming out of the train at the Ujjain station he then rushed to the group enquiry counter only to realise that the attacked victim was his sister. Investigations are on as the police is probing the matter.
