One dead as bus car collide in Surathkal

Mulky: In a gruesome accident between a private bus and car one person died on the spot and four severely injured. The incident  occurred near NITK in Surathkal.

Deceased has been identified as Ashi, resident of Kudroli. The bus was plying towards Padubidri and was carrying workers for Suzlon company. The over speeding plying from Mangaluru to Mulky rammed into the bus from back. Due to the impact of the incident Ashik died on the spot and the four people were gruesomely injured and were rushed to a private hospital in Mangaluru. Surathkal traffic police have filed a case.

House and beauty parlour robbed in Mulky

Mulky: Robbers broke into a house and a beauty parlour and decamped with cash Rs. 2,500 and a Samsung S3 mobile phone. The incident came to light on Thursday November 20.  House breakers entered the house of Nazir resident of near district municipal government school in K.S Rao Nagar here and a nearby beauty parlour and fled away with valuables.

Nazir and his family went his brother’s house located on the next road on Wednesday evening to attend a marriage ceremony on Thursday. But his wife remained at home till 8pm and later went to the marriage house. At that time she had noticed some five ganja addicts gadding near the school. She suspected that the same people might have looted her house. However as the couple had taken all the gold ornaments with them while leaving the house thieves managed to lift only Samsung S3 mobile which Nazir had forgot to take with him.  

The thieves well talented to think that they would be traced through the mobile IEMI number they searched for the mobile empty box and took the same with them. The robbery cases are on a high in places like K.S Rao Nagar, Haleangady, Pakshikere, Kinnigoli and in other places here and the police suspect that the ganja addicts hand behind the incidents. A case has been filed at Mulky police station.

 

 

 

 

 

Construction worker dies after falling from fourth floor of the building

Mulky: A construction worker accidentally fell from the fourth floor of an under construction building on the beach road near Bappanadu temple.

The deceased has been identified as Muhammed Sabul (22) a resident of Bihar. Sabul sustained severe injuries on his head and back. He was rushed to a private hospital in Mulky and later breathed his last on the way while shifting to another hospital in Mukka. A case has been lodged at Mulky police station.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Illegally accumulated 55 loads of sand seized

Mulky: Geosciences and mining department officials have confiscated 55 loads of sand on Saturday evening November 8 in Koppala near Haleangady.

Samshuddin son of Hasanabba had hoarded sand on the private land of Smt. Vijayalaxmi near Koppala railway track. The sands were collected from Kuloor and Gurupur river.

The raid was conducted by Murthy B.K along with Mulky special tahshildar A.J Kheni as per the complaints received by  the officers of the department.
