Delay in Quadrilateral road work in Moodabidre: Vedike warns of huge protest
Moodabidre: Stop giving confusing statements about converting the Mangaluru-Solapur National Highway 169 into quadrilateral road and start working towards it within 30 days or we will hold a huge protest, warned

Speaking to the press persons Sudhakar Poonja, vice president of Nagarika Hitarakshana Vedike, Mijar-Badaga Edapadav division said, the proposal of expansion of national highway, Mangaluru-Moodabidre quadrilateral road and Moodabidre-Karkala double road are under consideration. According to police reports percentage of accidents on these roads is very high. Many developmental works have been done on both sides of the roads but due to lack of interest from people’s representatives the road work hasn’t been given a green signal he added.

Then district in charge minister Krishna J. Palemar, MP Nalin Mukar Kateel, Moodabidre MLA Abhayachandra Jain and others have given confusing statements regarding the road work. But people doesn’t was politician’s statements they want implementation of the work.

If the long time demand of the people is not fulfilled, a huge protest will be staged from Nanthur to Karkala with the help of public, bus owners association, Auto driver’s association he warned.
