Mangalorean Jayanti Devadiga won Indian National Masters athletic championship
Rohtak: Mangalorean Kateel born Jayanti M. Devadiga daughter of Kompadavu  Dombayya Devadiga and Lakshmi Devadiga has for the 4th time won Indian National Masters Athletic Championship which took place in Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, Rothak, Haryana from 19th-2nd March 2015.

With many laurels to her credit Jayanti M. Devadiga is the Secretary of the Mahila Vibhag of Devadiga Sangha Mumbai where she currently resides. She is well supported by her husband  Madhav R Devadiga and children Preksha Devadiga (BE), Yash  Devadiga (Studying  BE) and Parth Devadiga (Studying SSC).

In this said Championship she achieved Gold in discuss throw, Silver in High jump, Triple jump, 4×100 Relay, 4×400 Relay and Bronze in Long jump where more than 1000 people had participated from 18 different states of India and Jayanti represented Maharashtra State.

She in her school and college days was much involved in Sports, Drama, Mono acting, Speech and many more.She also acted in Kuvempu Smaraka awarded Kannada drama “GUBBACHCHI”.  Jayanti Devadiga is set as a role model in her Community by achieving differently in various activities.

In coming month, she will be participating in Indian Corporate Masters athletics in Mumbai and she is also planning to participate in International athletic Championship near future.
